It intercepts those signals at the wiring level — before they reach the cluster — and, depending on the selected operating mode, suppresses them entirely or reduces them to a set percentage. The device sits between modules on the same bus segment, so the modified signal is what every downstream module on that segment receives. No separate mileage record is maintained elsewhere that could contradict what the cluster shows.

The device uses vehicle-specific, original-type connectors and fits entirely within the existing wiring loom.
